Terrell Hills was founded in 1919 by six families and 3 bachelors who wanted to move from the city to build homesteads in a more rural area. The group chose a 24-acre tract formerly known as Terrell Farms.

The McNay houses world-renowned works of art in a Spanish Colonial mansion set on 23 gorgeous acres. Many wedding and high school prom photos are taken on the grounds of the McNay. New office buildings, high-end apartments, restaurants, and shopping centers are welcome additions to the Terrell Hills area. 

Terrell Hills offers a central location and schools in either Alamo Heights or North East ISD.
